Cappiello's Cinzano zebra poster in 1910 created an instant product/image association with the public; shrewd enough to recognize that fact, the progressive firm called upon him again twenty years later when they merged with Florio, using that association to their advantage with a second zebra. The result is one of the most smashing of his designs, with two lunging zebras promoting the Florio marsala and the Cinzano aperitif. The image, as well as the bold contrasts, is sure to etch this compelling design indelibly in the viewer's mind and assure its retention with the product.
