CYMRU SAGL
How we started. Terence Flynn was the father of the popular poster in America with the founding of his business Portal Publications in 1954. His business grew into a large and beloved team and published millions of posters and cards for more than 6 decades. Terence, along with my father, Jack Weedn were world travelers and art entrepreneurs for many years.
My Father, Jack Weedn and my mom, Flavia Weedn taught me the art licensing and card businesses and this with my poster education from Terence has made my life as an art collector and archivist a wonderful adventure.
I am Richard Weedn. Terence and I joined forces in the creation of the largest archive of vintage poster imagery in the world in 1999. What began on the Adriatic in Pesaro, Italy then to NYC, spread to California, Switzerland, Spain and Wyoming.
It has always been our mission to share the art we discovered along our many traveled roads.
Today we carefully restore these poster images in studios in Spain while they are permanently housed deep in the Swiss Alps on Swiss servers under the management of CYMRU Sagl.
Our investment of more than $2 million in digital restoration over the years is a testimony to our quality commitment. We hope you enjoy the labor of three lifetimes of collecting, restoration and archiving.
The archive is dedicated to Terence Michael Flynn 1927-2019 and Jack Robert Weedn 1925-2013 two US Navy Sailors now traveling in heavenly seas.
