This Art Deco theatre poster advertises Le Marché d’Amour ("The Love Market"), a sensual musical revue staged at the famed Apollo theatre in Paris. The image presents a stylized burlesque scene: a woman, partially draped in a vibrant red cloak adorned with circular patterns, performs before two seated male spectators, symbolizing the mingling of eroticism and theatrical fantasy typical of the era’s risqué cabaret culture. The refined illustration style—with its flattened planes, bold colors, and geometric composition—is characteristic of French graphic design in the interwar period. This piece is likely the work of a commercial artist influenced by Paul Colin or Jean Carlu.
