Muratti Gentry Cigarette – Die Neue Eleganz 0000-4328

A study in early 20th-century modernist advertising, this German poster promotes Muratti’s “Gentry” cigarette as the latest in refined taste. The bold diagonal split and use of complementary blue and yellow colors reflect the clean, confident aesthetic of Weimar-era design. A fashionable woman in Edwardian attire anchors the brand’s message of class and composure. “Die Neue Muratti Gentry” positions the cigarette as a symbol of contemporary sophistication, appealing to upwardly mobile consumers in an age of evolving social identities.
