Hugentobler didn't find his true calling until 1924, when he worked for a time at an animal hospital in Zurich, and afterwards started working for a horse registry in Thun. He liked horses and started painting them; he also produced calendars for race tracks and designs for military calvary, as well as more than 50 posters for a number of events involving horses. This particular design was first used for the same race in 1934, and here it is given a well deserved reprise.

*Images are purposely low resolution on this site, actual prints are well focused and the cleanest possible editions. We remain true to the original poster's size and best resolution. We retain the original aspect and as high a resolution as possible of the artwork. There will be white space around the image as we do not alter the original dimensions of the art when printing.
