This ovkino film, as the text above the skiers explains, is based on a story called Relations; the designs intense expressions, linear elements and brooding colors leaves little doubt that this is a psychological drama. However, though the film is listed in the credits of everyone involved, no trace of the plot remains. An interesting note is that the story that served as the inspiration for the film was subheaded My Sister, leading us to believe that the story was altered in order to accommodate a particularly popular male star. Whatever the content, this Dlugach poster reflects a historical moment when artistic, intellectual and social ambitions intersected at an exceptionally high point.
