In what has become the rarest of all Bradley posters - this is one of only four known copies and even in 1901 Rogers called it ""scarce"" - the glass of Hood's is being viewed by a red-haired lady, while another in the background is pouring another glass. Sarsaparilla is a beverage resembling root beer, whose main ingredients originally were birch oil and sassafras. It was one of America's favorite soft drinks before it was replaced by newer products like Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper. Will Bradley was a brilliant and prolific artist, illustrator, publisher and printer and he did more than any other graphic artist in bringing the art nouveau style to America. An interesting footnote to the poster is the announcement in bottom margin: ""A Few Copies of this Poster for Collectors at One Dollar Each.""
