Barnum and Bailey Bizzare Circus Poster 0000-0545

An amazing array of 'Human Phenomena and Oddities of Nature adorn this spectacular poster for Barnum and Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth. This attraction, more commonly referred to as a Freak Show, brought together some of the most fascinating folks anyone could ever hope to meet: Charles B. Tripp, the Armless Man; Rob Roy, the Albino-Contortionist; Signor Tomaso, the Human Pin-Cushion; Billy Wells, the Man With the Unbreakable Head; Madame K. Oguri, the Armless Japanese Artist, just to name a few. Of course, the usual suspects are all in attendance: The Bearded Lady, the Fat Man, the Tattooed People and the Dog Boy. In the lower right hand corner of the poster, it states that the image was 'Authorized by the Strobridge Lith. Co. of NY,' and the sales headquarters of the Cincinnati printing company, which indicates Dupont printed the poster from Strobridge-supplied art.
