Transatlantique/Marseille 0000-0174

No specific ship is singled out for its service in the Transatlantic Companys Marseilles to Algiers run, but name recognition would hardly seem to be the selling point in this design intended for Germanic tourist distribution. The promise of a scant twenty-hour Mediterranean jaunt easily serves as bait for those inclined to wander, while the lush colors and dramatically contrasting North African coastline would have little trouble reeling in the imagination of any individual who has too long been focused on the Northern European landscape and harbors an unquenchable yen for sultrier climes.
