A flamboyant design for a show girl, mostly in teal and maroon, captures the essence of the appeal and trappings of the act of a transvestite performer who was popular in the Montmartre cabarets in the period immediately after the War. Claude (a name which can be male or female in French) specialized in imitations of the biggest stars of French stage and screen.
