The buffalo is frequently seen in Wild West lithography, and this is as it should be, since Cody derived his pseudonym from them. In this poster Buffalo Bill announces ""I'm coming"" to the French public.(The) Wild West was immensely popular in France..A second French tour began in 1905 with a most successful Paris engagement from April 2 to June 4. Of all the floridly written and lavishly illustrated programs of the thirty-year history of the Wild West, the ""Programme de la Buffalo Bill's Wild West Company"" for the Paris 1905 performances ranks high on the list (and) included an 80-page biography of ""Le Dernier des Grands Eclaireurs"". This version of the poster includes the date tag for the opening date of the second triumphant French tour. One of the best and most sought after of all he Buffalo Bill images.
