Poster produced for Southern Railway (SR) for advertising in France. The poster was produced to promote travel to France to England on Southern Railway services, and shows a scene of pomp and circumstance that would have been associated with England. The illustration shows a state procession in The Mall. Horses in livery are pulling an elaborate carriage, whilst the Queen’s Guard lines either side of the road. Big Ben and Westminster Abbey are visible in the distance. Artwork by Maurice Toussaint.
