Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote the 200 restaurant cars on the company’s trains. The poster is split into two images, ‘then’ and ‘now’, with travellers years ago on an uncovered wagon train, getting drenched by rain as they eat, juxtaposed with a picture of diners being served at a comfortable table in an elegant setting.
