Despite the contemporary political malaise between the United States and the republic of Cuba, it was not that long ago that the largest of the West Indian islands was the Caribbean vacation destination of choice for many Americans, due in large part to its geographic proximity (a scant ninety miles from Key West) and a reputation as a hedonistic bastion of tropical indulgence. And all the sultry pleasures that the ""Holiday Isle of the Tropics"" had to offer are splayed before our eyes in the scenic graphics and the sunny predisposition of this leggy ambassador of abandon featured in this tourist promotion.
