This poster for the London Tramways shows two svelte young ladies giving encouragement to a couple of canoers from the bank of some tranquil stream. This is the graphic accompaniment to the verse, 'Where runs the river? Marty was a popular illustrator whose work appeared in all the leading fashion magazines and who did several beautiful posters for the London subways and buses.
