The wonderful, self-satisfied grin of a well-fed, rosy-cheeked chef assures us that we can get away with substituting cocose for butter without anyone being the wiser. Cometti left behind a large and worthy body of work for Paris advertisers of the 1920's and 30's (the Bibliotheque Nationale has 260 of his posters), yet nothing is known about the artist himself.
