I think its fair to say that sometimes Mauzan was downright incongruous, that attracting attention to the designated product was more than adequate recompense to counterbalance whatever absurdity may be called upon to do the job. Case in point, this half imp/half dial planted squarely atop a steering column to affix the eye to the Livelgraf illuminated gas gauge. Why use a jester when running out of gas is clearly no laughing matter? Chances are the correct Mauzan answer is no more complicated than, Why not?
