The Regata was a major exhibition in Amsterdam of graphic advertisements such as posters, poster-stamps and related works. To promote all the associated festivities organized at the Feest Park, Klijn features a giant harlequin clown towering over the crowd. The artists brother Albert Klijn (1895-1981) designed the poster for the exhibition itself.
