Dressed in little but her enthusiasm, a ballerina invites us to attend the Munich City Ball. The symbols on the city seal behind her allude to Munich's beginnings as a monastery. Klein's palette here is limited but the brown tones are as sumptuous as the woman's flesh. Originally trained as a painter and sculptor, he was a member of the Munich Secession and appointed director of the city's Academy of Applied Art in 1936. Of the numerous posters he produced, this one is quite rare.

*Images are purposely low resolution on this site, actual prints are well focused and the cleanest possible editions. We remain true to the original poster's size and best resolution. We retain the original aspect and as high a resolution as possible of the artwork. There will be white space around the image as we do not alter the original dimensions of the art when printing.
