The d,cor consists here of chestnut trees in the background, symbolizing family activity, since rural families often hold their gatherings under them there is some elderberry in the design as well, since it supposedly has medicinal qualities, implying the mother's concern for the children's well-being. Thus, the drinking of the cocoa becomes associated with motherly care and protection.
