A basic poster like this must have been published in translations for all the most important (if not all) of the Soviet Unions 180 nationalities. Here it is in Tadzhik, the language of the (now independent) Central Asian republic bordering Afghanistan and China. The slogan reads long live the great party of Lenin and Stalin - leader and organizer of the triumphant building of socialism! A comparison to the Stenberg brothers exciting, avant-garde posters of the 1920s shows what the man on the right had managed to do to Soviet arts in a few years. This is nonetheless a truly exotic propaganda poster.
