A charming figure in a bare-shouldered yellow gown stops her bike by the side of a country lane to pick clovers which she circles in her hair. As in the previous poster, the factory, fully-lit and working full-tilt in the early hours of the morning - is shown, here in a red bordered vignette. Although the practice of showing factories was common in American commercial posters of the 1880s and 1890s, it was not generally employed in French posters. Because many of the early bicycles were rather flimsy (and dangerous) contraptions, these manufacturers no doubt wanted to show, by the sheer size of their enterprise, that they were responsible, solid citizens who products could be trusted.
