The imposing liner, its stacks gleaming gold against the pristine blue sky, dwarfs the bevy of small tugs guiding it into New York harbor. The ship, with its name greeked out, stands as a generic image for the entire line. After attending the College of the Arts n his native Hull, Rudmell worked extensively for the Swedish-American Line and for the Norddeutsche Lloyd.
