The Belgian Railway system is the motivating force behind this promotion, but the ferry and her clientele provide the bait for the wanderlust laying in wait in all of us.  The Swiss-born and educated artist, Leo Marfurt, worked closely with Belgian painter and decorator, Jules de Praeter, with whom he came to Belgium in 1921, where he settled and opened an Antwerp studio.  He founded and opened his own agency in 1917 and produced varied works, including some magnificent posters for Chrysler, Remington, Minerva, Purfina and the British railways.
