The poster shows a procession of the Queen’s Guard on horseback, leaving Buckingham Palace (which is shown in the background along with the Victoria Monument) to travel down The Mall. Artwork by Gordon Nicoll, who studied at Southampton Art School and at Hornsey under Frank Hillyard Swinstead. He was a member of the London Sketch Club.
