Buffalo Bill Wild West John Baker Vince Orepezo 0000-0088

Another of the brilliant promotions from Buffalo Bill's second triumphant French tour divides its time equally between two of the show's star attractions displaying their special skills in a series of vignettes: sharpshooter Baker and Vincent Orepezo, ""The Marvel Of Mexico With His Lasso Tour de Force."" The Hispanic lariat master not only worked as Colonel Cody's chief of vaqueros for many years, he played a major role in establishing an important facet of another great American icon: As a champion of the lasso, he was called upon to teach Will Rodgers how to rope. And Will Rodgers without rope tricks was like, well, the Wild West without Buffalo Bill.
